Create a New Class (Teacher)

Pro-Tip 1: Only follow these steps if you plan to have students join your teacher portal via the Student Self-Join link. If you plan to roster your classes by syncing with Google Classroom, Clever, or Classlink there is no need to add classes manually. Jump to this article for help on how to add students.


Let's get started:

Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal HERE.

Step 2: Click on "Classes" in the left-hand menu. 

Pro-Tip 2: On that page, you'll find a class appears to have been created already, the "Default Classroom." You may choose to use the "Default Classroom" for your needs (you can change the name by clicking Edit on the far right and navigating to the class Settings > Details tab) or you can create a new class and delete the Default Classroom later).

Step 3: Click the purple button that reads “Create A New Class”.

Step 4: Enter your class details and click 'Create Class'.

Step 5: You will have the option to add another class, add students to the new class you created, or go back and view the Classes page.
