Use the Student Self-Join Link (Teacher & Students)

Pro-Tip 1: Through the student self-join link, students can join your class by using an existing Nitro Type player account. 

Let’s get started.

Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal HERE.

Step 2: Click on "Classes" in the left-hand menu. 

Step 3: Select a Class from the list of Classes you already created.

Step 4: Click on the 'Add Students' button.

Step 5: Click the link to copy it to your clipboard. 

Pro-Tip 2: You may edit the self-join code (the alphanumeric code at the end of the link) so it is simpler than the default (e.g., nitrotype.com/join#awesomeclass) by clicking the pencil icon to the left of the link.

Step 6: Once you’ve copied the link, share it with your students.

Step 7: Have your students open a new browser window to paste the provided link on the URL bar and hit the “Enter” key.

Step 9: This takes them to a page where they have to enter their Username and Password OR Log in with Google or Clever. They can join your class by logging into their existing account.

Step 10: After your students have followed the steps above, you must go to your Teacher Portal and accept (or reject) each student's request to join your class. This request/s will appear on your “Classes” page.

That’s it! When you refresh the page and return to the class, you will find the students are now part of the class. 😊
