Syncing with Google Classroom (Teacher)
Google Classroom is a free web service for schools, non-profits, and anyone with a personal Google Account. Classroom makes it easy for learners and instructors to connect inside and outside of schools.
Teachers who have classes set up in Google Classroom can quickly import them into the Nitro Type Teacher Portal, manage them centrally in one easy-to-use interface, and access it all with their Google credentials.
Pro-Tips: To get started you must log in to your teacher account using Google. Make sure the email in your Account matches your Google account email. After your account has linked to Google, a "Sync with Classroom" button will appear in your "Classes" page.
Let’s get started.
Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal HERE. (Make sure you use the “Log in with Google” button).
Step 2: Click on “Classes” on the left-hand menu.
Step 3: Next click “Sync with Classroom.”
Step 4: A window will open with all of your Google Classroom classes. You should select only the classes that you want synced. Then click “Sync Selected Classes.”
Pro-Tip: Students must have accepted the invitation to join your Google Classroom class first. If they have not accepted the invitation yet and you sync your classes with Nitro Type, those students will not appear in your Nitro Type class.
Removing Classes Synced With Google Classroom
Step 1: Log in to your teacher’s portal HERE. (Make sure you use the “Log in with Google” button).
Step 2: Click on “Classes” on the lefthand menu.
Step 3: Next click “Sync with Classroom.”
Step 4: A window will open with all of your Google Classroom classes. Uncheck the classes you want to remove (make sure they turn red) and then click “Sync Selected Classes.”
